WOKING AND SPELTHORNE & RUNNYMEDE
DRAMA FESTIVALS 2012

– AND AT THE ALL-WINNERS EVENT – THIS TIME, SUCCESS!

Yet another successful festival entry by HADS in 2012, with both the audiences and adjudicators appreciating the play and our production of it.  Written by Christopher Reason (East Enders), This Repulsive Woman is a hard-hitting and thought-provoking play, never before performed on stage.  At Woking we came third overall, received a nomination for best director and won best actress and best original play.  At Spelthorne & Runnymede we came first overall, won best actress, director, stage presentation and received a nomination for best actor.

In the Carlton Theatre Teignmouth, the venue for the British All Winners Final this year, the performance of This Repulsive Woman, collected three trophies!

  • The NDFA Council Trophy for the Runner-Up One Act Play.
  • The Sydney Fisher Trophy for the Backstage Award.
  • The Halifax Evening Courier Award for Audience Appreciation.

Well done to Colin, Claire, Duncan, Shirley, Anne & Tony Catley & Tony Charters!
